YoCo Visioning Workshop

Join James Newton and Imelda Havers from YoCo to create a vision, mission and aims for a new, co-owned neighbourhood on part of the York Central site. YoCo is an exciting new project looking at the potential for developing a place to live, work and enjoy life, designed and owned by the communities who use it. Building on the work of My York Central, this is a chance to get in at the very start to design an innovative development on the edge of York. YoCo is set to inspire and hopefully influence the wider York Central development.

This session is free and open to anyone with an interest in the future of the City and how it is developed. It is part of a programme of discussions and events over the next few months and will look at:

Vision for a co-owned neighbourhood - what do we want to create?

Mission - what are the principles of the development?

Aims - what does the community want to happen on site, and how will it be achieved?

How would you like to be involved in making YoCo happen?

Imelda and James are Directors of Yorspace CLT, a pioneering organisation developing community designed and owned homes at Lowfield Green in Acomb. Yorspace has recently raised over £422,000 in Community Shares, and is set to start on site later in 2020. They are leading the YoCo team of local residents, designers and entrepreneurs.
