Calling all virtual picnic-ers!

We’re really excited about our community picnic this coming Saturday 8th August from midday to 2.00 pm. We really want to get your views and ideas about how you see a co-owned neighbourhood working on York Central. We realise that not everybody is able to get out and about to events, even socially-distanced ones, right now, so we’re making it accessible virtually too!

So here are your options:

• Join us in person, bring a picnic, something to sit on and sun cream (yes, it’ll be hot!) to the field behind the community orchard off Salisbury Road and chat, draw and chill out in the sunshine. Drop in anytime between midday and 2.00 pm

• Join us on Zoom from 12.30 to 1.30 pm (book here in advance) and work with local writer and poet Julia Davis to create a collaborative piece describing what you want to see on York Central. Bring your own food to this too!

We’re nothing if not creative at YoCo, so we hope you can join us on Saturday and be part of a growing community-led neighbourhood movement!
